Are you really giving away $1 million dollars of CBD?
Yes! To celebrate the historic legalization of Hemp (after an 80-year period of prohibition) we are giving away $1 million worth of free CBD soft-gels. We will be giving away up to 1,000 bottles of CBD products a day on a first come, first serve basis, until we reach the $1 million dollar mark. If we calculated this value based on the national average, this would be an unprecedented $3.4 million in free product. Here at Irwin Naturals, our mission is to spread health to the world through plant medicine and we are determined to make CBD affordable and accessible to the masses and we are concerned with the current high costs for CBD. For example, a single low income mother needing CBD for her child simply cannot afford the approximate $200 per month that it typically costs. Hemp extract (CBD) should not cost someone a couple hundred dollars a month. That is why, as part of our social mission, we have decided to price our high quality full spectrum, US-grown, non-GMO hemp extract at a cost per milligram of CBD that is more than 3-times less than the national average.
How do I get my free CBD?
Its easy! The $1 million CBD give-away will occur on a first-come-first-serve basis up to 1,000 bottles a day. Just visit www.IrwinNaturals.com/FreeCBD to get your free CBD. Although, shipping, handling and processing of $9.95 is not covered, this is a no catch give-away. There are no requirements to sign up for anything. There is no requirement to buy anything and the product that you receive is not a trivial sample size - these are full sized products that we sell in top health food stores all across America.
What is CBD?
CBD is the acronym for the plant chemical known as cannabidiol. CBD is found in the cannabis plant species which includes hemp. Cannabidiol stimulates cellular receptors within the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is responsible for promoting homeostasis in the body. In other words, the endocannabinoid system promotes biochemical balance -- a hallmark of good health.
Will CBD get me high?
No, CBD is non-psychoactive.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, with the recent passage of the Farm Act of 2018, all hemp products and derivatives are now federally legal.
How do your CBD prices compare to other CBD Products?
We are glad you asked! As part of our social mission to make CBD accessible and affordable to everyone, we have chosen to accept significantly reduced profit margins. For example, at a retail price of $32.99 for a 900 mg bottle of 60 soft-gels with 15 mg of CBD per soft-gel, we provide one of the lowest priced CBD per mg products, if not the lowest, in the country. Here is sample market pricing comparing our 900 mg CBD capsules with some of the competition’s CBD gel-caps with the same or similar amounts of CBD.
What are the benefits of CBD?
That’s a loaded question. Unfortunately, FDA law does not allow us (or anyone else) to disclose everything the peer review medical literature says about CBD. Why? Even citing that literature is a way of saying that CBD helps with diseases – which the FDA has prohibited up until today. However, with the passing of the law today, we are optimistic that the FDA will change its position on this. In the meantime, you can easily Google “CBD” to learn a lot on your own. Any CBD product websites mentioning anything related to disease, such as the word pain are either too small to know the law or they are ignoring the law. Let’s just say that CBD helps with over 20,000 things. This is because it doesn’t directly focus on any one thing. It acts like a lock and key with billions of endocannabinoid receptors spread throughout your body. The purpose of this system, which is not unlike your immune system, is to harmonize the interworking of all other systems in your body. It gets systems as small as cells and intracellular systems to cooperate better – to talk to one another in some sense. And this is why it has such profound and far-reaching health benefits.
Cannabinoids are naturally produced in our bodies. They act on the endocannabinoid system, which regulates pain, mood, memory, stress-response, immune function, sleep, appetite and a host of other things. Supplementing with CBD, a plant-based cannabinoid, may have a beneficial impact on this system.
What's the difference between hemp and marijuana?
The two words are legal terms for the same plant species, cannabis. If the strain has more than 3/10ths of 1% of THC (0.3%) (ie. the stuff that gets you high), it is legally called marijuana. If it has less than 3/10ths of 1% of THC (0.3%) the legal term for the plant is hemp. We use hemp.
Do you use ethanol or CO2 extraction and which is better?
We use both. We are not aware of any CO2 extractor who does not pass their product through a secondary ethanol extraction process after the CO2 step. Think of extraction as a way to take fiber and waxes out of the dry hemp plant. Whether you primarily use CO2 or ethanol, the trick is to ensure that, after extraction, you use a reputable independent lab to test for (1) pesticides, (2) heavy metals, (3) solvents and (4) correct ratios of cannabinoids.
What is the best method to get CBD into my body?
For most purposes, ingesting it in a food, beverage or capsule are all about equal. CBD is a robust plant molecule that makes its way to your endocannabinoid system regardless of how you ingest it. We use fast-acting liquid soft-gels because they’re most pleasant to swallow and it helps keep the contents in the capsule pristine. We are also launching CBD infused food, beverage and skincare products soon.
Where is your hemp grown?
It is grown in the pristine basalt rich volcanic soil of Oregon and watered with snow melt from Hiyo Mountain in the Mount Hood National Forest.
What do you test for?
Using independent third-party labs, such as Steep Hill, we test for heavy metals, solvents, pesticides and the proper ratios of cannabinoids, such as CBD.
What is the difference between hemp seed oil and hemp oil (hemp extract)?
Hemp seeds do not contain cannabinoids and terpenes – the exploding stars of the growing body of clinical research on hemp. Hemp seed oil has an excellent ratio of essential fatty acids, which is why we often use it as a carrier oil. However, for terpenes and cannabinoids, such as CBD, the extract must be from the non-seed portions of the plant. We use full-spectrum hemp extract to get our CBD and other plant nutrients, such as terpenes. And then we host it in MCT coconut oil or hemp seed oil as the carrier oil.
